Spokespeople

Spokespeople are the most critical tool for AR when it comes to the IT industry analysts, whether educating, influencing or building relationships. Spokespeople can be corporate or division executives, product managers, domain experts, marketing, consultants and even sales reps. Spokespeople are often put in front of the analysts with little or no training, just some background on the briefing content and the analysts. This lack of formal training can lead to a sub-optimized interaction. What can even be worse are executives who think that they are ready because they have had media training because treating an analyst like a reporter is absolutely the wrong approach.
