H1 Influence Quadrant Shows Lenovo, EY and Huawei rising

Influencer Quadrant

Lenovo, EY and Huawei are the big winners in the Influence Quadrant for the first half of 2015. The study draws on over 100,000 data points to show which rise are rising, and falling, in analyst research.

Over the next six weeks we’ll publish the findings. The chart above compares the profile of 200 leading firms in the profile of a range of analyst firms.  One trend is clear: most of the 15 largest firms have lost share of voice so far this year.

We can’t show 200 name on one chart, so there will be six quadrants: Cloud, Powerhouse, Services, Software, Systems and Telecoms. Some firms could fit in more than one segment, so we’re still working through which firms go in which (let us know if you have a preference). Even so, there are some differences between these segments in how often the vendors we have already allocated are mentioned.

  • Cloud, slightly down 0.01% partly due to fewer mentions of Google.
  • Powerhouse vendors, up 0.11%% with IBM contributing to the rise.
  • Services, down 0.03% as Xerox dipped, making EY’s rise even more notable.
  • Software, down 0.5% perhaps as a result of firms like Tibco and BMC going private.
  • Systems, up 0.22% as Lenovo has surged.
  • Telecoms, up 0.31% alongside a very strong performance from Huawei.
